Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting

The society’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the Redlands Museum on Monday 4th March, with a 7:00PM arrival for a 7:30PM start. All members and visitors are invited and will be welcomed.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an annual gathering of members during which all the current society management committee resigns and a new management team is appointed. A vote is conducted when there are multiple candidates for a particular position; in cases where no candidate is nominated in advance, members have the opportunity to nominate candidates during the meeting. Voting rights are exclusively reserved for current paid-up members.

After the appointments, the newly elected president addresses the attending membership. Our members appreciate effective management and leadership, and our committed leaders generously share their time and expertise with the club as unpaid volunteers. Drawing from their management experience in the professional world and the university of life, they adeptly guide the club through its various opportunities and responsibilities.

The addresses will also no doubt look back on the achievements of the past year, provide any formal reporting as required, and discuss some of the foreseeable opportunities and challenges for the club in this forthcoming period. There will be opportunity for members to raise questions and to make relevant comments during the meeting.

At the meeting we can also expect to hear updated information about current developments with the new clubhouse, the museum projects progress, and the upcoming events inviting membership participation and contribution.
